Two candidates nominated in Alfred & Plantagenet

So far, two candidates for council have registered their nominations for the 2026 municipal election in the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet.

As of Tuesday, May 12, Antoni Viau, who is currently a Councillor in Ward 2, has filed to run for Mayor.

Incumbent Ward 1 Councillor Benoit Lamarche has submitted nomination documents to seek re-election for his position.
