Grenville photographer Jacques Sabourin normally focuses on wildlife whenever he is hoping to capture distinctive images with his camera. But, at last year’s Vankleek Hill Fair, he decided to concentrate more on the more domesticated side of nature.

Sabourin took many photos of activities at the fair, about 19,000 in fact.

“I got something of everybody,” he said.

Sabourin’s photos from the 2025 fair include a significant number of images from western horse competitions, the horse pull, and motocross.

About 30 of those photos and 200 slides will be on display this weekend, Saturday May 16 and Sunday, May 17, at The Creating Centre in Vankleek Hill. Sunday also includes the May Show Festival and Charlie’s Trees Parade.

Sabourin said individual photos from the 2025 Vankleek Hill Fair may be obtained upon request.
