The last presence of the National Bank of Canada/Banque nationale du Canada (BNC) in Vankleek Hill is about to disappear.

In 2018, the bank closed its branch at 38 Main Street East after many decades in the community, but a withdrawal-only automatic teller machine (ATM) was kept inside the entrance of the building.

Recently, a notice was posted in the window of 38 Main Street East announcing that the National Bank will permanently remove the ATM on an unspecified date. The nearest National Bank branch and ATM is in Hawkesbury.

The Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) remains as the only full-service bank branch with an ATM in Vankleek Hill. The Toronto Dominion (TD) Bank also once had an ATM in Vankleek Hill, but it has also been removed.
