The Town of Hawkesbury’s new Parks and Recreation Master Plan is currently in its finalization phase. Residents are invited to be the first to discover the key objectives and preliminary recommendations that will guide the development of recreational spaces for years to come.
The plan was developed through a collaborative process that began during the open house on October 16, 2025, and the results of an extensive citizen survey. The plan reflects the community’s aspirations. The recommendations presented aim to transform Hawkesbury through more modern, accessible, and sustainable recreational spaces for the future.
Residents and all stakeholders are invited to get a first look at the draft of the plan during an open house session on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Community Hall at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex.
This meeting provides an opportunity for citizens to review the recommendations and share their feedback before the document is finalized.
The plan will then be presented to council as a draft during the May 11 meeting, before being submitted for official adoption at the upcoming June 22 meeting.
All citizens are encouraged to attend this unveiling session and contribute to the process by sharing their impressions and suggestions. The feedback collected will help refine the final version of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
