Among the ongoing road salt shortages across the province, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry (SDG) Counties say they have sufficient supplies to last through the remainder of winter road operations. The Counties report no concerns at this time, and winter operations are expected to continue without delay for the remainder of the season.

SDG Counties Director of Transportation Services Cameron Harper said, “The Counties are still receiving deliveries from our supplier, so we do not have any concerns with our current salt stockpiles. Therefore, we are not anticipating any changes to our operations.”

Harper concluded, “We will continue to monitor our inventory to ensure we are meeting the minimum maintenance requirements through the remaining months of winter.”
