Students in the Grade 10 and 11 business class at Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute (VCI), led by teacher Isabel Campbell, recently organized a lunchtime fundraiser in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and its breast cancer research efforts.
The cupcake sale was held during the lunch period, where students sold homemade cupcakes for $2.50 each. The event saw strong participation from students and staff, with many stopping by to support the cause.
Through their efforts, the class raised more than $200, which will go toward supporting breast cancer research initiatives across Canada.
The fundraiser not only contributed to an important cause but also gave students a chance to apply their business skills in a real-world setting, from planning and pricing to customer interaction.
