The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation has received a $50,000 donation from The Friends of HGH. This gift will help bring “Hal,” a state-of-the-art pediatric training mannequin, to HGH’s skills lab – enhancing hands-on training for healthcare teams caring for the hospital’s youngest patients.
This contribution represents a major step toward the Foundation’s $130,000 investment in Hal, ensuring advanced simulation-based training that improves pediatric care and patient
safety.
“Having a pediatric mannequin on site will allow our teams to practice complex scenarios in a safe environment, ultimately improving outcomes for children in our community,” said Erin Tabakman, Executive Director of the HGH Foundation. “We are deeply grateful to the Friends of HGH volunteers whose dedication makes this possible.”
The Foundation is continuing to raise funds to cover the full cost of Hal. If you would like to help bring this advanced pediatric training tool to HGH, please visit www.hghfoundation.org, or call 613-632-1111, ext. 21101.
