At the eleventh hour on Tuesday, November 11, the Town of Hawkesbury held its 2025 Remembrance Day ceremony at the cenotaph on Cartier Boulevard, organized by the Hawkesbury Royal Canadian Legion Branch 472.
Dignitaries, service members, and families braved the snowfall to pay tribute to Canada’s fallen soldiers through prayer and silent reflection.

Representatives from local businesses, community organizations, and military families placed wreaths at the base of the cenotaph. Hawkesbury Mayor Robert Lefebvre and East Hawkesbury Mayor Robert Kirby followed, placing wreaths on behalf of their municipalities.
Lefebvre also spoke about the importance of remembering those who served and those who continue to defend Canada’s freedom and prosperity.
