On Sunday, November 2, 2025, Bernard Bigras-Denis was re-elected as mayor of Lachute, with his team Équipe Vision Lachute sweeping the remaining council seats in the municipal election.

Bigras-Denis was re-elected for his second term with 81.43 per cent of the mayoral ballots cast (3,013 votes), defeating challenger Francis Karl Dubé, who received 687 votes.

In a social media post, Bigras-Denis said Lachute residents had given him and his team a strong mandate: “Your support and commitment touch me deeply. I am proud and honoured to continue working for you and with you, to build an increasingly dynamic and future-oriented city.”

In District 1, Aline Gravel of Équipe Vision Lachute won her seat with 495 votes, defeating independent Nathalie Vigeant, who received 203 votes.

Yan Deschamps (Équipe Vision Lachute) won the District 2 seat with 516 votes, ahead of challenger Jean-François Crépault’s 117.

Christian David and Guylaine Cyr Desforges, both from Équipe Vision Lachute, were elected by acclamation for Districts 3 and 5.

Équipe Vision Lachute’s Line Perron won the District 4 seat with 389 votes, defeating independent Alain Lanoue, who received 180 votes.

Équipe Vision Lachute’s Hugo Lajoie retained his District 6 seat with 428 votes to independent Luc Dubé’s 145 votes.
