Rain did not stop the ghosts and ghouls on Friday, October 31, as families braved the wet weather for thrills, chills, and trick-or-treating fun in Brownsburg-Chatham.

Steve O’Brien’s Haunted House once again opened its doors at 273 rue de l’Église, welcoming thrill-seekers for its 37th year of frights. Admission proceeds from the local favourite attraction support the Steve O’Brien Foundation, which empowers young people and promotes their personal and professional growth.

The Brownsburg-Chatham Carnaval d’Halloween moved indoors this year, giving families a chance to stay warm and dry at several local venues.

Attractions included haunted trails at the municipal library and the Brownsburg-Chatham Royal Canadian Legion, along with festivities at Salle Louis-Renaud at 270 Route du Canton in Saint-Philippe. Light displays, face painting, and candy stations hosted by local organizations—including Proxim Antoine Karam, Orica, and the Brownsburg-Chatham Firefighters Association—kept children entertained throughout the night.
