The Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) and the Lions Clubs of Maxville, Alexandria, Vankleek Hill, and Finch, alongside the Highland Lounge, have united to raise more than $105,000 in support of the Maxville Manor Redevelopment Project.

This substantial donation will fund the purchase of essential kitchen equipment—an integral part of the Manor’s redevelopment. The kitchen serves as the heart of Maxville Manor’s daily operations, preparing thousands of meals for residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the broader community through programs such as Meals on Wheels. Upgrading the kitchen is one of the first steps in Maxville Manor’s transformation journey.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the unwavering support,” said Kerri Albright, Campaign Manager. “The Maxville Lions led the way bringing several clubs together and helping us to tell our story, and their commitment to community is truly inspiring.”

“Supporting Maxville Manor was an easy and unanimous decision for all of our clubs,” said Kevin Currier, representing the Maxville and District Lions Club. “The Manor’s contributions to serving seniors and those who need long-term care in our community and surrounding areas are essential. They count on our support, and we’re proud to stand with them.  After all, many of our own family members are likely to call the Manor home at some point.”

The redevelopment project aims to expand to offer more rooms, enhance infrastructure, and create a welcoming, modern home for residents—complete with updated amenities designed to last for decades. With Giving Tuesday approaching on December 2, this donation sets a powerful example of local leadership and collaboration.
