Investigators are seeking information from the public to help solve an attempted robbery in Hawkesbury.
On Sunday, September 28, shortly 3:30 a.m., officers with the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a convenience store and gas station on John Street. A lone male had approached the employee outside the store, threatened him and demanded cash.
The employee yelled for help and the would-be thief fled on foot.
Officers conducted an intensive search of the area but could not locate the male.
The individual is described as a large man. He was wearing a blue jacket, black ball cap, camo pants and white running shoes. The male’s face was covered with a neck warmer. A photo is attached.
The investigation is ongoing.
