The 66th Prescott County Plowing Match was held on Saturday, September 6, at Ferme Guy Piché in Casselman. The annual event, organized by the Prescott County Plowmen’s Association, awarded winners with cash prizes.

The family-friendly competition drew participants of all ages to the sandy ground lot to showcase their precision and plowing skills across nine different classes, including one for those under the age of 21.

A total of 40 entrants used a mix of equipment, from drag and mounted plows to antique tractors built before 1959, as well as horses with both walking and sulky plows. Judges scored contestants on the overall straightness and depth of their furrows.
