The Love to Shop Local market, organized by the SunShiners Social Club and the Glengarry Community Creators, took place in Alexandria on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12. The event, held at 26 Main Street South, showcased the talents of local vendors, artists, and micro-business owners—including some individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Numerous creations were on display for purchase, including spices, spreads, and cooking oils by BT Delights; honey products from the Glengarry Bee Farm; a wide range of seeds from Muddy Toes Organics; and detailed woodwork by Steve’s Knotty Furniture.

Artwork was proudly displayed by local artists with disabilities, including pieces by Michel Lascelle, Kelly-Ann Doyle, Corinne Bonin, and the SunShiners Social Club’s featured artist, Tyler, who has seen his talent grow into a passionate outlet for self-expression.
