Grow Your Garden with Our Seed Library
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, our Seed Library is here to help you bring your garden to life. Thanks to the support of the Vankleek Hill & District Horticultural Society, library cardholders can pick up free packets of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to get their gardens blooming. These seeds will be available soon —stop by and grab what you need to start your indoor or outdoor garden!
As your plants grow, we’d love to see your progress! Snap a few photos of your gardening journey and submit them to the library to be featured on our website and social media. Together with the Horticultural Society, we’re here to help you grow—literally!
Create a Butterfly-Friendly Community with the Butterflyway Project
We’re also partnering with the David Suzuki Foundation to create a habitat for pollinators like bees and butterflies in our community through the Butterflyway Project. By planting pollinator-friendly gardens, you can help us establish a “butterfly highway” right here in our community.
Are you ready to get involved? Ranger Alicia is seeking both new and returning volunteers to help create this important habitat. Volunteers will receive free native seeds to get started, plus a sign to promote their garden and its role in supporting our pollinators. Sign up by April 30 to be part of this exciting project and help make our community more butterfly-friendly!
