Team Tremblay moved into solo first place in the Vankleek Hill Curling Club’s Competitive League standings, after posting a 7-3 win over Team Cayen in action from Tuesday, January 14. With the win, Team Tremblay improved to 6-1 on the season, while Team Cayen fell to 5-2. The two teams had been tied for first place prior to last week’s game.

There were some upsets on January 14, as teams near the bottom of the standings posted wins.

Team Mode picked up its second victory of the season against four losses, posting an 8-4 win over Team Murray, whose record fell to 3-5.

Team Parisien also earned its second win of the season to move to 2-6, with an 8-4 triumph over Team Schwendemann, now 3-4 on the year.

Team Ladurantaye evened its record to 4-4 with a hard-fought 8-6 win over Team Maloney, which fell to 4-3.
