The community was not waiting long for the first baby of 2025 to be born at Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH).
Samiha Aimal Syeda was born at 12:01 am on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1. Her mother is Mona Arsfia and her father is Ajmel Hassan, both of Hawkesbury.
Samiha weighed 6.6 pounds and was 18 inches long when she was born.
The New Year’s baby girl is the third child for the couple. According to Hassan, both Samiha and her mother were happy and healthy on New Year’s Day.
