The local Sip and Shop for Cancer event drew the community to the centre of Vankleek Hill to browse, converse, and sip while they shopped. Various gifts were donated by vendors as part of the silent auction held that night.

In total, the silent auction raised $500 during the three-hour-long exposition and will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.

The event’s organizer, Donna Stuart, brought together approximately 20 local vendors and craftspeople at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre. Numerous options were available to shoppers as they browsed handmade collections of holiday merchandise, consumables, and artwork.

“Every little bit helps. I Look forward to next year’s event! If anybody has any suggestions of a not-for-profit that’s deserving, they can let me know,” Stuart explained.
