The high standard of community spirit in Champlain Township was upheld on Friday, November 29 when the annual Champlain Christmas Parade took place in Vankleek Hill. That evening, floats, animals, and vehicles from a variety of organizations and businesses followed the route through town. Of course, the big attraction at the end of the parade was the float featuring Santa Claus, accompanied by Mrs. Claus. Hundreds of people lined the streets to watch. The parade was one of the largest in recent years and had representation from businesses and organizations not regularly seen in the parade.
