The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) held its annual food drive at Asselin Independent Grocer in Hawkesbury on Saturday, November 23. All proceeds from the event are allocated among the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank, Vankleek Hill Food Bank, and L’Orignal Food Bank. OPP officers, members of the auxiliary unit, and a police cadet participated, collecting donations of cash and food items from supermarket customers. Members of the Hawkesbury Rotary Club and Vankleek Hill Lions Club also assisted at the food drive.
