The organizing committee of the 2024 Gala of the Prescott and Russell Firefighters Mutual Aid Association recently gathered at the L’Orignal fire station to donate the evening’s proceeds to organizations close to their hearts. In total, $6,000 was donated to the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation, the L’Orignal Food Bank, the Vankleek Hill Food Bank, and the Ross Tilley Burn Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital. These funds will support vital programs within our community.
Held on October 5 in Vankleek Hill, the gala celebrated the dedication and years of service of firefighters from the eight municipalities of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. The gala highlighted the essential role firefighters play and the invaluable support they receive from their families.
