A $4,000 donation from District 32 Prescott-Russell of the Retired Teachers of Ontario /Enseignants retraités de l’Ontario (RTOERO) will support the Lift Me Up! campaign of the new Prescott and Russell Residence in Hawkesbury to purchase Maxi Sky patient lifts.
The new Prescott and Russell Residence on Spence Avenue is a 224-bed care facility. The lifts, to be installed in designated rooms, will enable staff to securely transfer residents between their bed and a chair.
“The lifts will enhance the social inclusion and participation of residents, and also help prevent staff injuries. Together, that contributes to a safer and more supportive environment,” said Patricia Hempey-Rogers, President, District 32 Prescott-Russell, RTOERO.
