The Township of Champlain is exploring a new initiative to help residents divert food waste from landfills through in-home composting solutions. By partnering with FoodCycle Science, Champlain aims to reduce the amount of organic waste going to the landfill and encourage more sustainable habits at home. To determine if this program is feasible, Champlain is seeking input from residents to see if there is enough interest to launch a pilot study.

In order for the Township to move forward with the program, we need at least 100 presale units. Once 100 units are presaled, Champlain Council will evaluate whether to proceed with the investment. If the project is approved, participants will be required to pay their FoodCycler unit.

About FoodCycler

The FoodCycler FC-30 and Eco 5 devices are innovative solutions that process food waste into a nutrient-rich by-product that can be used to enrich your garden soil. These devices work by drying, grinding, and cooling food waste into a usable form. Both units are energy-efficient and can process food waste overnight with minimal noise and no odor.
