Happy Franco-Ontarian Day! Let’s celebrate the rich Francophone culture in our community. At Champlain Library, we’re excited to share the French services we offer!
Discover Cantook: Your New Favorite eBook and Audiobook App
The Cantook app, our go-to for French eBooks and audiobooks has been revamped and is now more user-friendly than ever. You can find it in your app store, and it’s free to use with your library card. If you’re a resident of Champlain or East Hawkesbury, getting a library card is free too!
New French Books for Young Readers
We’ve just added a fantastic collection of French books for kids learning to read, called Une syllabe à la fois. These books are perfect for helping young readers build their skills one syllable at a time.
Homework Help in French
Our after-school homework help is back! Every Wednesday, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM, we offer support in French for grades 1-4. We cover math and reading in French only. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to sign up early!
Bilingual Programs for All Ages
Don’t forget, we offer several bilingual programs:
- On Y Va: A fun program for kids 0-5 and their caregivers.
