A member of The Nation Municipality fire department has died, but the details about the death of the firefighter are not being made public.
Early on Saturday, September 21, CUPE Local 7911, which represents United Counties of Prescott and Russell paramedics, issued a statement of condolence on Facebook to the family and colleagues of the deceased firefighter.
A Nation Fire Department badge with a red band around it, used to signify the death of a firefighter, is also displayed on the fire department’s Facebook page.
