The MRC d’Argenteuil’s latest council meeting on September 11, 2024, saw the passing of two contracts in efficient succession. One contract is with Rawdon Metal Velo Rack (RMVR) and the other is with Services Ricova Inc. (SRI).
Ten new bike racks will be installed at different bus shelters in the region for a cost of $4,118.50, before taxes. The project will be conducted by RMVR and includes installation of the racks. The estimated installation timeline has yet to be released.
Additionally, the contract awarded to SRI is valued at $315,424.62 annually for five years, prior to taxes. SRI will be both collecting and transporting recyclable materials from January 1, 2025, until 31 December 2029. There will be a potential for two one-year renewals after this date.
The contract awarded to SRI only covers the municipalities of Gore, Grenville, Mille-Isles, and Wentworth.
