A utility pole on Bertha Street in Vankleek Hill was split into a few pieces by a vehicle on Sunday, September 8, and that meant an afternoon and evening without electricity for many nearby homes.
According to Hydro One, the cause of the pole damage and power outage was a vehicle collision and 149 customers were affected. A witness said the Ontario Provincial Police was at the scene of the collision.
A resident of Bertha Street told The Review the power was back on at 8:22 pm Sunday evening.
