Knox Presbyterian Church in Vankleek Hill hosted a SCUBA-themed Vacation Bible School (VBS) during the week of July 22-26. There were 65 children participating, and 31 leaders and helpers playing games, creating amazing crafts, singing cool Bible songs, enjoying yummy snacks, hearing incredible Bible stories and discovering how God can be our very best friend.
A mission emphasis included in the VBS program encouraged the children to bring an offering each day. With the help of many generous hearts in our community and church family they raised $5,000.00 for the Salvation Army Food Bank in Cornwall. This will go to help the many people in the Cornwall area who depend on the food bank each month to feed their families.
The week ended with a spectacular show for parents and family followed by a picnic lunch on the lawn.
