Alexandre Chartrand is competing in the Demolition Derby this year for a second time.
“Last year was my first experience, and while I didn’t know exactly what to expect, I ended up having an absolute blast. It was such a great time that I knew I had to do it again this year,” he said.
Chartrand said that in 2023, the adrenaline rush is what he enjoyed the most, from the moment he started the car, until the round ended.
“It was even better knowing that a bunch of my friends and people I know were there, cheering me on. I felt like I had a job to do—to entertain them,” he said.
Chartrand said the crowd at the Vankleek Hill derby is always amazing and the event organizers are top-notch.
