The Hawkesbury Multicultural Festival begins this Friday, June 28 and continues until Sunday, June 30.

Now in its third year, the festival celebrates with music, the diversity of culture and community in Hawkesbury, the region, and around the world.

The main stage for the festival is at Place des Pionniers in downtown Hawkesbury. Other stages are set up on Main Street downtown and at Dèja-Vu Resto-Bar on Main Street East.

The opening ceremony begins at 6 pm on Friday at the main stage. Yao performs at 7 pm, followed by a multi-star lineup to fill out the night.

Performances by a variety of musicians begin at 12 pm on Saturday. That night at 8 pm on the main stage, Blue Jeans Bleu will perform.

Sunday’s events include further performance and a multi-jam featuring 11 different musicians will wrap up the festival that night on the main stage.

Each night, jam sessions are planned for Dèja-Vu.

Vendors and food trucks will be set up downtown during all three days of the festival.
