Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16 were Smith-In days at the Glengarry Pioneer Museum. The annual blacksmith festival attracted a dozen blacksmiths from across Ontario, Québec, and the United States for two days of forging and crafting objects from iron. The museum’s own Olivier Hamelin Blacksmith Shop was open and operating, a portable military forge was on display and being used, and other blacksmiths brought their own portable forges to demonstrate their trade to visitors.
