The Member of Provincial Parliament for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry is the new face from Eastern Ontario around the cabinet table at Queen’s Park.
In a wide-ranging cabinet shuffle late in the day on Thursday, June 6, Premier Doug Ford announced MPP Nolan Quinn is the new Associate Minister of Forestry within the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Quinn was elected as an MPP in 2022 after a career in business management and human resources.
The government has also renamed the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs as the Minister of Farming, Agriculture, and Agribusiness led by Minister Rob Flack. A separate Ministry of Rural Affairs has been established under Minister Lisa Thompson, who previously served as Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs.
In addition to Quinn’s appointment, the Ontario Cabinet now includes the following ministers:

Steve Clark has been appointed Government House Leader. Clark, who is the MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, had previously served as Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing before resigning in September 2023 amid controversy involving Greenbelt development north of Toronto.
The cabinet shuffle was made following recent rumours that Premier Ford may be considering calling an early provincial election before the current four-year term ends in June 2026.
