Did you attend Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute (VCI) about 30 years ago? If you did, it’s time to try and look 18 or 19 again because a reunion is being planned for the classes and staff of 1993, 1994, and 1995.
The reunion is being held on June 29 at the Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds.
In 2014, the VCI Class of ‘94 had a very successful 20-year reunion and was able to start a bursary fund that supported upcoming graduates for several years. The Class of ’94 has decided to celebrate their 30th with the classes of ‘93 and ‘95 as well. They will once again be raising funds to donate to future VCI graduates with a silent auction.
The Rustic Pantry will be preparing a chicken and brisket barbecue dinner, to be followed by a dance. Entertainment will be provided by Good Time Charlie, featuring Canadian Idol contestant, Ben Griffin and local musician Chris Stewart on the drums.
Tickets are currently on sale online through Eventbrite and the hosting alumni are happy to welcome any grads and staff close to that 30-year mark. Tickets are limited (60/100 sold to date) and must be purchased in advance with a discount coupon available until June 1st.
