Many of us often regret that we did not take advantage of a past opportunity that could have changed our lives. Jennifer Jane Young wants to inspire people to not miss those opportunities.
Young, who lives in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, has written Say Yes to Your Yes; How to trust your gut and take the leap, a book which uses affirmation and wisdom to encourage readers to rely on their intuition and give themselves the permission to takes leaps towards life they have been dreaming of, to outgrow who they have been, and to honour who they always knew they could become.
“It teaches people a lot about the nervous system and the brain,” Young remarked.
She described her book as an invitation.
“It’s an invitation to step out of your comfort zone and into the unknown and seek the limitless potential available,” Young said.
In addition to being an author and digital creator, Young is a Yoga therapist and leadership advisor, and spent six years living in Mexico before returning home to Grenville-sur-la-Rouge in 2023. Say Yes to Your Yes was launched at an event held at the Vankleek Hill Vineyard on April 6.
Family is important to Young, she dedicated the book to her nephews Noah, 5, and Victor, 6.
Young said her own personal story led her to write Say Yes to Your Yes.
“I just never fit into the traditional world,” she said, referring to past experiences with education and work.
To spread her message, Young teaches intuitive leadership online and at special events.
“I believe that we’re here to enjoy life to the fullest potential that’s available to us,” Young said.
She said many people are unhappy and do not even realize it if they are not trusting intuition.
