Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry responded after two males approached a young girl in Alexandria late in the afternoon on April 17. However, the investigation found no threat to public safety.

The girl was walking in the area of Sandfield Avenue at around 4:35 p.m. on April 17 when she was approached by two males in a vehicle. They tried to engage the girl in conversation, with negative results, and left the area.

The OPP was contacted and began to investigate. The individuals were identified and spoken to. The investigation determined there was no threat to
public safety and no criminal offence committed.
