The funeral cortège of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney passed through Prescott and Russell counties on Wednesday, March 20. Mulroney, who served as Prime Minister from 1984 to 1993, died on February 29 at age 84. This photo shows the hearse on Highway 417 approaching the Dalkeith Road overpass on Wednesday afternoon. Mulroney’s body had laid in state for two days on Parliament Hill in Ottawa and was being transported to St. Patrick’s Basilica in Montréal where it will lay in repose for two days until the state funeral on Saturday, March 23 at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montréal.
