The Nation Municipality’s six councillors and mayor were paid $248,133 in 2023.
Mayor Francis Brière was paid $53,988.22, with an extra $873.93 in mileage costs.
Councillors Alain Mainville, Danik Forgues, Daniel Boisvenue, Marjorie Drolet, Raymond Lalande and Timothy Stewart were each paid $29,909.62 as a base councillor salary.
Councillor Alain Mainville received an additional $127.86 for mileage, $839.52 for convention registration, and $1195.01 for convention expenses.
Councillor Danik Forgues received an additional $839.52 for convention registration and $1032.45 for convention expenses. Councillors Daniel Boisvenue and Marjorie Drolet each received $1,363.59 for convention registration and an additional $1,633.30 for convention expenses.
Councillor Raymond Lalonde was paid $140.92 for mileage, $839.52 for convention registration and $1,287.78 for convention expenses, while Timothy Stewart was paid $839.52 for convention registration and $678.07 for convention expenses.
