The weird winter weather caught up with organizers of the East Hawkesbury Carnival on Saturday, February 24 in Sainte-Anne-de Prescott. The snowmobile rally planned for the day had to be cancelled. Warm temperatures and occasional rain during the previous week caused most of the snow to melt, making the rally route unsuitable for snowmobiles. However, the route was still open for all-terrain vehicle riders and walkers, and several people decided to venture out by those methods. At the Centre d’Action community centre, there were activities for children, food, and entertainment.
The East Hawkesbury Carnival was organized by the East Hawkesbury Recreation Committee and the Sainte-Anne Antique Day Committee.
