Ontarians are being defrauded of hundreds of millions of dollars each year. With the consistent prevalence of scams and frauds, most Canadians, often seniors, are vulnerable to different types of fraudulent schemes. “Financial crimes by strangers” is one of the greatest areas of vulnerability.

The Russell County Ontario Provincial Police, in partnership with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center, the Township of Russell and the Embrun RBC would like to address the issue of fraud within Russell County. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police will deliver a fraud prevention presentation with the assistance of RBC Royal Bank members on Thursday March 7th, 2024, from 7-9PM. This event will take place at the Russell Township, 717 Notre-Dame St, Embrun, Ontario.
