Six months after hiring a new Director-General and Clerk-Treasurer, Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is changing top municipal administrators again.
At a special meeting of council on Thursday, February 8, the resignation of Myrian Nadon was accepted. Nadon had joined the municipality as Director-General and Clerk-Treasurer on July 4, 2023.
Nadon is from the Gatineau region and has taken a position with a municipality there.
“It’s sad that she’s going, but we understand,” Mayor Tom Arnold said.
On February 9, council immediately approved hiring a replacement. François Rioux is the new Director-General and Clerk-Treasurer. Rioux is the former Director-General of Carignan, near Chambly.
Arnold said Rioux was selected from among five candidates and his first day at Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is Monday, February 12.
