Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a break and enter and theft at the arena in Casselman.

On January 18, at approximately 3:10 a.m., an unknown male broke into the J.R. Brisson Complex located at 758 Brebeuf Street in Casselman. The suspect was dropped off at the arena by a white or silver pickup truck and gained entry through the main lobby doors.

Once inside, the suspect gained access to the cash box of an ATM and stole its contents. He is described as being in his mid-twenties, with medium unkept blonde hair, wearing a red and black toque, a winter plaid coat with a unique tear in the mid back, dark pants and boots.

Assistance is being sought from the public in hopes of identifying the person of interest as seen in the attached pictures. The third photo is of the unique tear on the rear of the unknown male’s jacket.
