Contestants are wanted for the 26th edition of the Défi OSEntreprendre challenge for local entrepreneurs in Argenteuil, the Laurentides, and across Québec.
The business creation component is open to new entrepreneurs who wish to begin business in 2024 or whose business obtained its first income after April 1, 2023.
“The Défi OSEntreprendre is a golden opportunity for new entrepreneurs to become known and benefit from good visibility. It is also an opportunity to promote companies that make local sourcing efforts as well as those that continue and prosper,” said Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil Prefect Scott Pearce.
People interested in participating in the challenge must go to www.osentreprises.quebec and follow the instructions there. The eligibility criteria as well as the list of categories and special prices are available online. The application file must be submitted on the website no later than Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 4 p.m.
Participants who pass the first stage of local selection will have their project analyzed again at the regional level. An awards ceremony will take place in the spring to award the regional winners who will then go to the final Québec level selection stage.
In 2023, the MRC d’Argenteuil was represented by three local companies at the regional gala. They were the Fermette des Herbes Chouettes, Paloma Undies and Marché Lost River.
Défi OSEntreprendre’s mission is to inspire the desire to undertake business and build a Québec that is proud, innovative, committed and successful. Défi OSEntreprendre brings together more than 85,000 people annually. They include young people from preschool to university, business creators and entrepreneurs from across Québec.
