Royal Canadian Legion Branch 70 in Lachute recently honoured 10 of its members for long service to the branch.

At the annual Remembrance Dinner held on November 5, the members were awarded Service Pins. The recipients of Service Pins are Tommy Smith (75 years), Robert Duncan (60 years), Brenda Lawrence (50 years, and the last living female veteran of World War Two), David Robb (45 years), Robert Todd (35 years), Leilani Todd (30 years), Margaret Pearson (25 years), Cathy Langille (25 years), and Laurette Bertrand (25 years).

The annual Christmas five-to-seven at Branch 70 with potluck finger food will be held on Friday, December 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A draw for three free membership cards for 2024 will also be held. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 70 is located at 634 rue Lafleur in Lachute.
