It was a tough week for the Hawkesbury Hawks, as the team dropped three straight games.

Hawkesbury (11-9-2-3) fell 4-3 in overtime to the Carleton Place Canadians (13-7-0-2) on Sunday, December 4, in Carleton Place. Brandon Clarke, Antoine Dorion and Nicholas Brennan were the goal scorers for Hawkesbury in the contest, while Dimitri Pelekos took the loss, despite stopping 30 of 34 shots fired his way.

On Friday, December 2, the Renfrew Wolves (14-7-1-1) handed the Hawks a 6-3 loss at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex in Hawkesbury. Dorion, Remi Gelinas and Ryan Liverman were the goal scorers for the Hawks. Dekon Randall-Snow took the loss in the Hawkesbury goal, stopping 44 of 50 shots.

The Hawks were spanked 7-1 by the league-leading Ottawa Junior Senators (19-4-2-0) on the road at the Fred Barrett Arena in Ottawa on Wednesday, November 30.

The Junior Senators jumped out to a 4-0 first-period lead and never looked back in the game, outshooting the Hawks 44-20 on the night. Alexander Caulfeild scored the lone goal for Hawkesbury.

Despite earning only one point in their three games on the week, Hawkesbury remains in third place in the Central Canada Junior Hockey League’s (CCHL) Yzerman Division.

The Hawks will be at home this Friday, December 9, to face the Kemptville 73’s (10-11-3-0) in a 7:30 p.m. start at The Bob. On Sunday, December 11, Hawkesbury travels to Nepean to face the Raiders (5-16-0-2). Game time at the Nepean Sportsplex is 2:30 p.m.
