The Municipalité régional de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil presents the 14th edition of the Foire de Noël Saveurs et culture d’Argenteuil (Flavours and Culture of Argenteuil Christmas Fair) from November 25 to 27.

The festive event will highlight the talent and know-how of artists, craftspeople, agri-food producers and processors from across the region. About 50 exhibitors will be gathered at École polyvalente Lavigne and Laurentian Regional High School in Lachute selling their unique and original gifts for Christmas.

The hours for the event are:

Friday, November 25: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Saturday, November 26: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, November 27: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Sunday, November 27, the Hémiole vocal ensemble will be performing between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

An area selling coffee, sandwiches and salads will be available for visitors all three days. There will be an ATM on site, but visitors are still recommended to bring cash. Some, but not all exhibitors will offer payment by credit and debit card.

TaxiBus service is available to get to the event by reserving a trip at 450 562-5797. Admission to the Christmas fair is free.

Seven new exhibitors will be featured at this year’s Saveurs et culture d’Argenteuil:

– Bistro aux Lubies, (cooked meals and gift baskets of products, bistro-café)

– Les Thés d’Argenteuil (pure and flavored teas, herbal teas, medicinal herbs)

– Champ floral (edible flowers, fresh flowers and derived products such as as condiments, jams, herbal teas and teas)

– Farm Aux champs qui chantent (fresh organic vegetables and dried flowers)

– La Flamme Boréale, natural products (soaps, shower gels, balms, exfoliants, etc.)

– L’Empotée-Conserverie maison (various preserves from local vegetables)

– Tricycle par Froufrou ethical fashion (clothing and accessories made from recycled materials)

The MRC d’Argenteuil organizes the event as a way to promote local agri-food industries, the know-how of its artists and artisans, in addition to stimulating the local economy and pride of belonging to the Argenteuil region. Major financial partners for the event include the Quebec ministry of agriculture, food, and fisheries, Argenteuil Member of the National Assembly Agnès Grondin, and the Caisse Desjardins d’Argenteuil. It is also made possible with assistance from the city of Lachute, École polyvalente Lavigne and Laurentian Regional High School.
