Geneviève Lajoie has been elected as mayor of Casselman, defeating incumbent Daniel Lafleur by an unofficial vote count of 1,029 to 721.

Lafleur, who is the current Warden of the United Counties of Prescott Russell was acclaimed as mayor in the 2018 municipal elections after then incumbent mayor Conrad Lamadeleine and former mayor Claude Levac pulled out of the race. Lafleur had previously been a councillor in Casselman and was also Deputy Mayor of the village from 2006 to 2010 .

In Casselman, four councillors are elected at-large. Elected were incumbent Paul Groulx, who was the top vote getter, Francyn LeBlanc, Anik Charron and Sylvain Cléroux. Incumbents Marcel Cléroux and Mario Laplante were defeated in their bids for re-election.

Unofficial voter turnout in Casselman was 55.7 per cent. Full election results will be released on Tuesday, October 25.
