Rose Seitz, Circulation Clerk, Champlain Library

Reminders of Him, by Colleen Hoover

After a 5-year prison sentence for a horrible accident, Kenna searches for her four-year old daughter by returning to the town she used to know. A trip into a bookstore, now a bar, forces her into the path of Ledger, who is one of the few remaining links to her daughter. A heart-wrenching tale of a mother who just wants to see the child she bore for the first time, while being cast out for mistakes she made.

I give it a 9 out of 10. I couldn’t bear to put it down, I had to know what was going to happen next. A story of forgiveness, struggle, with a few cute one-liners thrown in. It made me cry, hug a kitten, and read on.

Book Review written by Rose Seitz, Circulation Clerk at the Champlain Library – About me: I love reading as much as I love iced coffee. My job at the library allows me to find new books to read (and recommend), and the list of new books is never-ending. When not reading, I’m entertaining my two cats or playing videogames.
