The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is recognizing three officers who provided lifesaving CPR to someone while they were off-duty.

On the afternoon of September 7, off-duty OPP Sergeant Alain Potvin, Sergeant Paul Dube and Sergeant Jocelyn Lessard were enjoying a day of golfing, when another golfer went into medical distress. The officers rushed to assist and administered CPR. The golfer in distress, Jean Laliberté, from Hawkesbury, regained consciousness and was transported to the hospital.

The OPP encourages everyone to get First Aid and CPR training, the life you save could be someone you know.
