A parade and live music are on the agenda, as the Dalkeith Historical Society holds its annual Barn Dance Festival on Monday, September 5.

The event takes place at the historic Robertson-Clark property at 1841 Dalkeith Road – the former St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Chapel – from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., kicking off with a parade at 2 p.m. After the parade, visitors are invited into the Robertson-Clark building for the barn dance, which will feature live music by local rock band 50 PROOF from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The theme of this year’s Barn Dance is ‘Food and Friendship’ and donations will be collected both along the parade route and at the Barn Dance for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society Food Bank in Alexandria. A monetary donation to the Dalkeith Historical Society of any amount will also serve as admission to the Barn Dance.
