The Riceville Fair organizers have everything in place for the weekend of August 26 to August 28.

The fair will offer a Saturday market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and they are looking for additional vendors to round up the vendor list.

The fair kicks off on Friday, August 26 with exhibits being placed in the hall from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The beer garden opens up at 11 a.m. and stays open until the end of the day. At 7 p.m., you can enjoy bingo and take advantage of horse-drawn wagon rides.

On Saturday, August 27, the day begins with the English/Western Horse Show, starting at 9:30 a.m. The market vendors will be set up with their wares from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. There is always fun for kids at the Riceville Fair; the children’s area will be ready to welcome young people from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Horse-drawn wagon rides will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and you can visit exhibits in the exhibit hall and see which bakers, producers and entrants have the red ribbons attached to their entries.

The beer garden will be open from 11 a.m. until the end of the day. There will be live music from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with Roger Hamelin and friends.

At 12 noon, the St. Lawrence Valley Jersey Parish Show will take place.

From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Riceville Agricultural Society will host a spaghetti supper.

The truck pull will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on the track in front of the beer garden.

From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., there will be live music, provided by Whiskey on Tap.

On Sunday, August 28, the Riceville Agricultural Society will hold its popular Sunday morning brunch from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The children’s area will remain open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A highlight of the day is the Antique Tractor Pull, which takes place on the track in front of the beer garden.

The exhibit hall will be open from 11 a.m.  until 8 p.m.

The beer garden will be open beginning at 11 a.m.

At 12 noon, the Beef Show will take place and at 1 p.m., there will be a horseshoe tournament.

Live Music will be provided by Fridge Full of Empties from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Note that no pets are allowed on the fairgrounds, with the exception of Service Dogs.

Admission to the fair is $10 per person; seniors 65+ pay $8 per person and there is no admission fee for children 12 and under.
